Seedling Donation & Tree Planting 2022
August 05, 2022
“He who plants a tree plants hope.” Whether we plant a tree, or we donate a plant seedling, we instill hope – for the future generations to come.” — Lucy Larcom.
The Annual Tree Planting activity initiated by TMP is considered to be every dealer’s corporate social responsibility. For the past years, due to the pandemic, actual tree planting was not allowed. With the easing of alert levels and continuous vaccination programs in the country, this year’s tree planting was finally made possible with the help of team members and volunteers from LGU.
In partnership with the Municipality of Balete, Batangas headed by Mr. Raymund Cueto from the Agriculture Department, Toyota Lipa held its tree planting once again since the pandemic last August 05, 2022, at the Mozzafiato Lakeshore Community, Balete, Batangas. A total of two hundred (200) seedlings were planted by volunteers from Toyota Lipa and LGU, seedlings consisting of forest trees such as Narra Tree, Acacia Tree, and Nymph Tree.
On August 04, 2022, three hundred (300) plant seedlings, categorized as fruit-bearing trees primarily consisting of Guava Tree, Jackfruit, Guyabano, and Atis were donated to the LGU as a possible additional source of income for the residents in the years to come. A total of five hundred (500) plant seedlings were planted and donated for the whole duration of the activity.
“Tree Planting and Seedling Donation is a good activity in relation to the environment and the community. Making environmental activities a priority is a great deal.” As shared by Shaina, one of the volunteers during the activity, implying that it is extremely important to prioritize environmental activities. “We need to protect the environment as it also protects each one of us.”
Justin, another volunteer also mentioned how such tree planting activities are important due to the effects brought by different calamities. “Malaki ang tulong ng ganitong activities para makatulong sa kalikasan lalo at higit sa panahon ngayon na maraming bagyo o kalamidad ang dumadating.”
Through this activity and with the help of our volunteers, Toyota Lipa was able to show concern for the environment and help diminish the unfavorable effects of climate change. Toyota Lipa is also looking forward to more environmental activities like these in the next years to come.
